MSHA Safety Training

This month, the RCC team participated in an annual refresher for their MSHA 5000-23 Certificate of Training. MSHA safety training plays a fundamental role in preventing injuries and fatalities on the job site.

The MSHA training is required for anyone working at a mine site, and Reliable Controls Corporation requires all employees, regardless of position or location, to complete this training to gain a better understanding of how to recognize and report potential hazards, and become more aware of health and safety.

At Reliable Controls Corporation, we’ve developed a culture built on safety. We understand that the people of this industry are constantly placed in potentially dangerous and hazardous situations where proper training and preventative measures are absolutely necessary to avoid accidents or injuries.

The refresher training was interactive and consisted of specific examples from the field where better training and awareness could have not only prevented injuries, but in many cases, fatalities. The RCC team contributed with feedback on times their own MSHA training proved beneficial and effective on the job site, or in every day life.

Team members who participated in this round of training varied from upper administration, accounting, marketing and engineering staff. As with any RCC team gathering, engaging and challenging conversation rounded the room and everyone left feeling refreshed and ready to carry our safety culture on to the next project.
